pspmCorporate Vision for PureSpectrum, Inc. Expanding to Incorporate Potential Additional Revenue Streams

President and CEO Lee Vanatta broadens company’s direction as sales accelerate and company completes product development plan

SAVANNAH, Ga., Oct 15, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) — As the pace of sales efforts continues to accelerate, PureSpectrum, Inc. (Pink Sheets: PSPM) has completed an internal product development plan for 2010 that represents an expansion of the company’s corporate vision that will enable the company to capitalize on potential synergies and technology applications which have been identified during the company’s development.

Demand continues to be strong for PureSpectrum’s 20-watt dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamp (CFL) with non-proprietary technology, and as orders are received through relationships with online retailers and distributors, the company is recognizing and pursuing additional potential sales opportunities. Although PureSpectrum’s initial product offering is not built with the company’s proprietary technology, president and CEO Lee Vanatta said the company has realized multiple and substantial benefits from launching the branded non-proprietary product.

“The strategy to incorporate this product into our offerings fits ideally within our corporate mission to identify, cultivate, create and implement technologies that will enable lighting manufacturers to satisfy the demand for cost effective, performance-driven, energy efficient lighting solutions,” Vanatta said. “We are in a fast-paced and fluid marketplace, and we understand that we will need to adapt our strategy and vision as we evolve and mature. Part of our development process that has taken shape during the past few months has been to recognize the value of working with non-proprietary technologies that serve our corporate mission and augment our company’s offerings while we continue refining our proprietary technologies and products. To compete and sustain growth in the green technology sector, we believe it is important to not become dependent on any one revenue stream and constantly seek new opportunities that fit within our corporate vision, mission and values.”

As the company’s marketing efforts have intensified, feedback from the marketplace has indicated that high volume distribution points prefer to have access to a suite of branded products and sales results could be strengthened by offering a broad range of products within individual product categories. Augmenting PureSpectrum’s product lines with non-proprietary products will complement the company’s proprietary products when they become available and enable the company to fully satisfy consumer demand. This strategy is particularly effective in circumstances when PureSpectrum is able to brand non-proprietary products and build the value of the PureSpectrum brand.

Vanatta said the company’s market-driven approach to technology and product development has produced a product schedule for 2010 that features proprietary products, branded non-proprietary products and products which blend proprietary and non-proprietary technologies. The common thread among PureSpectrum’s family of products will continue to be addressing the challenges faced by the lighting industry in order to meet stricter energy efficiency standards while also satisfying consumer demand for high quality and performance.

As PureSpectrum has established relationships with international manufacturers and engineers to adapt its proprietary technologies to be compatible with the mass manufacturing process, the company has been exposed to several non-proprietary technologies and products which are consistent with the company’s product lines. As the company continues to finalize the full scale of its product offerings, Vanatta said other manufacturers have expressed an interest in utilizing PureSpectrum’s marketing and sales capabilities to promote and sell their products.

“Our goal as a company remains to develop, identify and implement energy efficient lighting technologies and products that provide performance benefits to encourage the widespread adoption of energy efficient lighting,” Vanatta said. “The organic evolution of this company includes learning that there are benefits for the company and its shareholders to be gained by embracing a non-proprietary product which is compatible with our goals and vision in order to open additional revenue avenues without incurring the burden of development costs. We are continuing to diligently work on adapting our technology for mass manufacturing, and we are confident we will be able to launch proprietary PureSpectrum products. However, as a company we are obligated to have the foresight and insight to adopt revenue generating strategies which will serve our purpose and broaden the scope of our business.”
